Nursery
In nursery we enure our childen feel safe, secure and happy to learn. We have well established system to welcome and support children to settle into their new learning environment. High standard of pastoral case with a focus on fostering students self confidence.The Nursery School comprises Kindergarten which admits children from the age of three and a half to five and a half. In Kindergarten the emphasis is on fun and enjoyment while the children learn pre-reading, recognition of objects, pre-math and pre-language skills, singing, art, physical exercise and health ideas. The teaching program prepares children for Grade I of Primary School. Children are taught through social interaction, songs, art, creative play and natural expression. Preparatory studies are offered in reading and numbers.
Primary Years / Grades 1 To 2
Our primary school program covers a period of five years, wherein the scope and depth of learning increases gradually, while opportunities for play and creative expressions continue to complement learning. The language learning is emphasized in first two years (grades 1 and 2), with the introduction of a second language, along with mathematics in practical terms, to encourage observation and discovery. Children also start using the computer as a tool for learning and communication.Homework, which is an integral part of schoolwork, facilitates the development of independent learning and the acquisition of study skills among students. The performance in homework is enhanced when students are provided a suitable environment for study at home.In the Primary School, formal tests are given each month, in order to determine students` skills on a more or less continual basis. At the end of each term, students take more comprehensive examinations. These are used to assess the students` accomplishments and their understanding of the subjects learnt during the term. They also help teachers to determine the best way to assist individual students. Formal reports are issued at the end of each term. However, teachers may issue other reports to meet specific requirements.
